The Advocate Arms Hotel was opened on 1st December 2008 after undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment after I purchased what was known as The Gordon Arms Hotel in 2007; the building had been in decline for many years and was desperate for some TLC.
In the kitchen, Head Chef Josh Kelly oversees a young, but very talented brigade of chefs who are committed to serving you great quality fayre at any time of day.
Josh has a butchery background having worked in the butchers at Caistor for a number of years and often puts these skills to good use here in our kitchen.
The Advocate Arms team received their 1st Rosette in 2012 and since Josh and the team proudly achieved our 2nd Rosette in 2016 and have retained this prestigious award since. In addition to this we are 5 star and Michelin Guide Recommended.
Our general manager is Greg Branas. Greg is passionate about food and customer experience. He finished degree in hospitality at University of West London. He gained his five star experience while working at Oxford & Cambridge Club in London. Greg is highly experienced in providing the high standard of service to a broad range of guests, including VIPs and high-profile individuals such as members of the Royal Family.
